Percept partners with IFFI; Aims to make it the "Cannes of Asia'

Global Entertainment Media and Communications conglomerate, Percept, and IFFI have collaborated to execute the 42nd International Film Festival of India. The 2011 edition of the Star studded event kicked off 11 day extravaganza with Shah Rukh Khan at the Ravindra Bhavan auditorium in Margao, Goa on November 23, 2011.

The festival, which will screen more than 150 movies from 65 countries, and will have special Master Classes held by veteran film personalities including Milcho Manchevski, Hugh Welchman and Laurence Kardish. Percept will help showcase a first of its kind package of 3D and animation movies; a Retrospective of Luc Besson and Phil Noyce; a special package on "Soccer in Cinema"; country focus on the U.S; screening of Russian classics and more. More than 10,000 delegates from across the globe are participating at IFFI 2011.

Keeping true to its theme of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam', which translates to "The Whole World is One Family', Percept will bring global trends to India while showcasing the vast variety of domestic cinema. Percept had previously put Goa on a global map with its successful properties like Sunburn, Goa Super Sixes and World Gaming Festival, and is now working closely with the Goa Government to get recognition for IFFI and the Indian cinema business. Percept's network of artists and performers will also attend the event to further increase awareness and stress importance on Indian cinema as serious business.
