Star to launch FX HD feed soon

In a bid to capture more eyeballs in the English GEC space, Star India looks at launching FX HD by mid- September. Over the last couple of months, the English genre has seen a lot of action with the launch of Colors Infinity and Colors Infinity HD and another broadcaster looking at launching the HD format soon.

Keeping Indian viewers at par with the world on English entertainment, FX is all set to make weekends more exciting with day and date shows on the soon to be launched FX Torrents. This will enable the viewers to watch the latest episodes of their favorite shows like Homeland (Season 5), Affair (Season 2) and Empire (Season 2) and Doctor Who (Season 9) right after the international telecast.

FX, was launched in September 2012 as the exclusive destination in India that brings to its viewers a gamut of genres with the latest of cult and award winning shows. Consumer research showed that the community of viewers desiring cult and critically acclaimed shows was ever growing. Viewers became more evolved in tastes compared to the core English viewer and demand evolved for layered stories in addition to popular shows.
