TV Channels special plans for Diwali this year!

This Diwali, TV Channels are pepping up themselves to entertain audiences with their special programming.

We list down their Diwali line-up this year...

1. &TV presents ‘It’s Diwali’

To add to the festivity, &TV presents ‘& It’s Diwali’ a special two and a half hour programme with leading artists from the television industry who will perform on latest chart-busters and ring in Diwali with a lot of sparkle and style! Tune in this Saturday, 29^th October to enjoy an evening full of dhamakedaar performances starting 8:00PM only on &TV!

Presented by FMCG Brand Tide and Powered by confectionary major Cadbury Celebrations are the sponsors on board for this show. & It’s Diwali is set to bring together some of the most popular faces from television on one stage. Actors Jay Bhanushali and Saumya Tandon will be seen coming together after a really long time to host the show. From a dance face-off between Angoori and Anita Bhabhi to a patakha act by Mouni Roy and an energetic Qawalli act by Ritwik Dhanjani-Asha Negi and Sharad Malhotra-Kratika Sengar amongst many other will enthrall and entertain the audience!

2. Colors’ Diwali Plans

The festive fervour has reached Colors’ channel also. It has Diwali-led highpoints across the following shows:

Devanshi, Thapki…Pyaar Ki, Sasural Simar Ka, Shakti…Astitva Ke Eshaas Kii,  Udann, Bigg Boss 10,  Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

3. Vh1:

The channel will Celebrate this Diwali with the ‘Billion Views Club’ on Monday, 31st October |at 12 PM & 8 PM

4. Comedy Central:

The channel will Celebrate Diwali with The Carmichaels Show only on Comedy Central – Your Happy Place! on Saturday and Sunday, 29th and 30th October from 4 PM onwards

Comedy Central is all set to light up your weekend with an unconventional and amusingly opinionated family of the Carmichaels! As you get together with your loved ones and play poker through Diwali, catch onto the hilarity of real life problems on The Carmichael Show!

5. COLORS Infinity:

This Diwali, COLORS Infinity is all set to make your weekend as royal as it gets with Queen Helena, played by Elizabeth Hurley, along with Princess Eleanor and Prince Liam. While you indulge in some quintessential Diwali rituals of playing cards and eating King-size meals, catch The Royals rule on television, as you get together with your family! Mark your calendars, because this weekend of Diwali, there’s nothing more majestic that you could binge-watch!

6. CNBC-TV18

India’s first 24-hour business news channel CNBC–TV18 (launched in 1999) is continuing its 17-year-old legacy in successfully guiding its viewers to make better informed investment decisions, and thereby create the desired income. Through their special programming line-up for Diwali, the premium business channel is bringing dedicated expert advice on stocks, markets, wealth creation ideas, investment insights and more.

Shereen Bhan, Managing Editor, CNBC-TV18 says that the channel will capture the spirit of Diwali through almost 15 hours of special programming this festive season. Through its programming, the channel will also assess the impact of the festive season through CNBC–TV18 Festive Pulse Meter. In addition to this, there will be a fun element added with the Golden Boy of Bollywood Bappi Lahiri, on the Dhanteras special.  

Some of the investor focused initiatives being led by CNBC–TV18 this Diwali are: 

• Muhurat Trading – It is considered auspicious to mark the beginning of muhurat trading on Diwali day as it is popularly believed that making investments during this particular time period is the harbinger of wealth and prosperity for the remainder of the year. Mahurat Trading special will be followed by Muhurat Commodity trading, will be telecast on Oct 30 between 5.55pm to 8pm
• The Big Bull – Udayan Mukherjee’s special interview with Rakesh Jhunjhunwala will see them discuss investments for the long term, the state of the markets, how Rakesh sees the markets going from one Diwali to next, and more
