TV This Week | Colors rises on ratings charts, others witness decline

TAM ratings this week, comes with surprises! While Colors is the only GEC that has seen a rise in ratings this week, all other GECs including Star Plus has seen a fall in the ratings.

In week 45 (2nd – 18th November 2014) of TAM Media ratings, majority of the top Hindi GECs saw a dip in the viewership numbers.

Though continuing to hold the top spot, Star Plus registered decline in ratings to 610 million GVTs this week from last week’s 655 million GVTs.

It was followed by Colors at the second spot, which was the only GEC to register an increase in its ratings with 486 million GVTs this week, as compared to 457 million GVTs in week 44.

Consistent on the third spot was Zee TV which saw a decline in its ratings and recorded 394 million GVTs this week (405 million GVTs in week 44)

Replacing SAB TV at the fourth spot was Life OK which recorded the same rating as last week i.e 305 million GVTs.

Witnessing major decline in viewership was SAB TV at number five, which slid from 307 million GVTs last week to 285 million GVTs this week.

At the sixth spot was Sony Entertainment Television which saw a decline in its ratings from 285 million GVTs in the previous week to 245 million GVTs in this week.

The new GECs Zindagi and Sony Pal haven’t seen much change in their ratings. While Zindagi recorded a minor increase from 31302 GVTs in week 44 to 31475 GVTs in week 45, Sony Pal on the other side saw a decline from 31405 GVTs in week 44 to 30710 GVTs this week.
