Women are good at multi- tasking: Priyanka Chopra

One of the most popular actress in Bollywood today and also recently acclaimed as singer, Priyanka Chopra started her career with her maiden venture, The Hero: Love story of a Spy in 2003. During her career that spans over a decade she has successfully  given hit films like Aitraaz, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Waqt: The Race Against Time, Bluffmaster, Krrish and Krrish 3,  Don - The Chase Begins Again, Fashion, Kaminey, Anjaana Anjaani, 7 Khoon Maaf, Barfi and  recently  Gunday.

Post release of Gunday, Priyanka is totally focusing on her forth coming film Mary Kom directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

On asking her about the kind of character she is playing in the biopic film, she said, "First of all since Mary is a person of my age it wasn't difficult playing the role but yes it does involve a lot of hard work and as an actor I intend taking up the challenge. For me the film is not a biopic or a drama, but a story of a girl who explores her limitations."

The film Mary Kom is based on the life of known Indian boxer MC Mary Kom, a five-time world boxing champion and the only woman boxer to have won a medal in each one of the six world championships.

Along with her fans, Priyanka too has loads of expectations from this film. When asked to share the turning point in her career in Bollywood she expressed, "I think that film would be  Aitraaz where I played a negative role at the age of  20 . Post that film I realized that I could be more than just a pretty face."

Indian Cinema and especially Bollywood has undergone loads of experimentation be it in terms of genres, music, style or stories. According to her, "Cinema is meant for entertainment, while a film is a writer’s / director’s perception."

Priyanka is amongst the most successful ladies in India who explored her career in different professions such as modelling, acting and singing. What made her choose two different professions? She smiled and said, " I decided to have two careers i.e. singing and acting since I am of the opinion that women are definitely good at multi -tasking."
