Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta is the No 1 show yet again: TAM

Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta is the top show across all GECs this week too. According to the latest TAM data the show is placed at number one with a TVR of 5.85%, which is less than the show's TVR last week and which was 6.44%. After fairing well last week on Gross Rating Points (GRP) and Channel Share (CS), Zee TV is placed at number three across all GECs with a reduced GRP and CS of 219 and 16.7% respectively.

Star Plus is the number one channel across all Hindi GECs yet again. The channel's GRP and CS is 318 and 24.2 %. Star Plus this time around has four of its shows amongst the top 10 shows across channels. Saathiya Saath Nibhana , Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain, Sasural Genda Phool and Pratigya from Star Plus have made it to the list of the top 10 shows.

Colors is at number two with a reduced GRP and CS of 238 and 18.1%. However, this week Laagi Tujhse Lagan (TVR-5.02%), Naa Aana is Des Laado (TVR-4.18%) and Balika Vadhu (TVR-4.04) from Colors' wide offering are amongst the top 10 shows and placed at number 4, 8 and 9 respectively.

Sony Entertainment Television (SET) is at number four with an increased GRP and CS of 180 and 13.7% respectively. This week the telecast of Idea Filmfare Awards 2010 from the channel's offering has made it to the top 10 shows' list this week and is placed at number three with a TVR of 5.17%.

SAB is at number five with an increased GRP and CS of 153 and 11.7% respectively and its show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma has made it to the top 10 shows this week and is placed at number 10 with a TVR of 3.95%.

Imagine is positioned at number six with a GRP and CS of 86 and 6.6% respectively. Imagine's new show Zor Ka Jhatka's second week ratings have left the top officials at Imagine dissatisfied and doubtful and reportedly the channel has taken it up with TAM. Talking about the discrepancy, Harsh Rohatgi, Head of Content & Communication - Imagine TV, said, "The Week 2 numbers for Zor ka Jhatka come as a complete surprise and appear totally out of sync with market & consumer feedback. In week 2 there has been a sudden and sharp drop in certain markets which were rating strongly and growing over 4 episodes in week 1. At an individual market level, the fluctuations are even more bizarre with a more than 250% variation in successive episodic ratings. These numbers seem completely counter intuitive to how people actually watch TV and GECs in particular. We have brought these discrepancies to TAM India's notice and await their clarification and rectification."
