Zoom connects Elton John with A-list artists to collaborate on latest album

Zoom has helped so many people stay connected during this time including Elton John who used the Zoom platform to collaborate with other award-winning artists to create his latest album.

Zoom made it possible for Elton, a world-renowned artist that has forever changed the cultural landscape, to continue to make albums, break records, top charts and reach new fans when the world needed joy more than ever.

In a just-released video from Elton John’s Rocket Entertainment Group and AKQA, viewers see first-hand how even the most A-list celebrities were hopping on a Zoom call to stay connected, create music, and continue to work in even the most challenging circumstances. The album, ‘The Lockdown Sessions,’ includes collaborations from Dua Lipa, Damon Albarn, Stevie Wonder, Miley Cyrus, Lil Nas X, Stevie Nicks, Young Thug and more. With everyone being in lockdown and unable to meet in person, Elton John brought everyone together through Zoom to collaborate.

Below is a quote from Zoom CMO, Janine Pelosi, on the Zoom + Elton John collaboration:

“We’ve heard so many stories from people all over the world about how Zoom keeps them connected and enables them to experience milestone events when attending in-person isn’t an option. But nothing matches the thrill of learning that we powered the collaboration behind Elton John’s ‘Lockdown Sessions’ album. This clearly demonstrates the way the world connects is shifting across every industry. Zoom delivers the human, face-to-face connection we all desire in our work, making the ideal space for our users to come together to create and do big things -- and the terrific ‘Lockdown Sessions’ shows just that!”
