16 shortlists for India in Radio, Creative Effectiveness, Film, Film Craft

Shortlists for the Radio, Creative Effectiveness, Film, Film Craft and Digital Craft were announced today (June 22, 2017) at the 64th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. India has secured 16 shortlists in Radio, Creative Effectiveness, Film, and Film Craft categories, but drew a blank in Digital Craft. 

In Radio, Indian entries have scored 6 shortlists. BBH Communications Mumbai has two shortlisted entries for their two campaigns done for Abbott India – ‘Paragliding’ and ‘Marathon’ in the Healthcare & Pharmacy sub-category. 

Grey India’s work done for Radio City has been shortlisted in two sub-categories – Use of Radio & Audio as a Medium, and Branded Content/ Programming. 

McCann Worldgroup India’s campaign, titled ‘Dermaclinix - The Scientist’, done for Dermaclinix Hair Transplant Clinic has been shortlisted in the Healthcare & Pharmacy sub-category. Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai has secured a shortlist in the Charities & Non-profit sub-category for its work done for RNW Media, titled ‘#NotMusicToMyEars’. 

In Creative Effectiveness, India has 5 shortlisted entries. Leo Burnett India has bagged two shortlists for its work done for Bajaj Auto – Bajaj V - The Nation’s Bike. 

‘Dads #ShareTheLoad’ and ‘Ariel Share the Load: A social movement to remove the cultural stain of gender’ have been also shortlisted. Both the campaigns have been done by BBDO India for P&G India’s detergent brand Ariel Matic. 

‘Beauty Tips By Reshma’, the campaign from Make Love Not Scars that makes a powerful statement on acid attacks and the easy availability of the corrosive fluid, has earned Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai a shortlist in the Creative Effectiveness category. 

A total of four entries from India have been shortlisted in Film category. Taproot Dentsu has two shortlisted entries – ‘Adidas Odds’ and ‘Adidas: A Tale of Two’. The catchy ‘Nike Da Da Ding’ ad done by Wieden+Kennedy has also been shortlisted. BBDO India’s work done for PepsiCo’s brand Mirinda, titled ‘#ReleaseThePressure’ is the fourth Indian entry to be shortlisted in Film. 

Meanwhile, Wieden+Kennedy’s ‘Nike Da Da Ding’ is the sole Indian entry in the Film Craft shortlist.
