Lakme Fashion week Winter/ Festive 2011 was a perfect sight where fashion met commerce. It was here were fashion and creative spaece was gallored, alongside some hard core business associations were witnessed. On these lines, Himalayan Natural Mineral Water was also associated with LFW 2011, where they brought in "Himalayan Live Natural Collection' with accomplished designer Wendell Rodricks.

Telling about their association with Lakme Fashion Week and Wendell Rodricks, Ashok Namboodiri, Chief ' Sales & Marketing, NourishCo Beverages Limited, said, "the association with LFW has been there for a couple of years now, and we are taking it to the next level. With Wendell, its a new thing that we have done this year, in terms of associating with a designer, who has got international repute and stands for Eco-friendly fashion." The synergy of that with the brand Himalayan which stands for prestine, naturally pure mineral water is enormously high and therefore its a twin association, which they feel, makes them really proud.

Commenting on Himalayan's association with the designer, Namboodri said, "It's been a pleasure to partner with Wendell. Our philosophy at Himalayan fits beautifully with Wendell's extremely trendy designs and his choice and use of fabrics. All the outfits drew inspiration from natural sources and reflected water in the most pristine avatar. We are delighted and look forward to many more such brand engagements."

When asked on what do they expect from this association and the consumers, Namboodri said, "We are hoping to build Himalayan as a premium brand in the Indian water context. And the association with Wendell, is definitely lend significantly to brands alliance specially on the on-premise channel." Secondly, "the fact that they are consuming a premium quality product water, lays emphasis on the fact that they are making a lifestyle choice in terms of opting for a water brand that is unique and naturally pure", he elaborated.

On the marketing and sales strategies chosen for Lakme Fashion Week 2011, Namboodri explained that, with the association with Wendell, they have unveiled the special edition bottle as they were the official water partners for LFW 2011. "Its something we have never done before and also something that water brands normally do not do. So its the first of its kind and we intent do make this available on premise account so as to give the consumers a fine dine experience", he said.

Lastly, talking about their experience with Lakme Fashion Week and Wendell Rodricks, Namboodri went ahead to say that, "the experience has been fantastic, Wendell sympathizes with what the brand Himalayan stands for, in a perfect synergy with what the brand values are and that all works for the good", he said.

Going forward, Himalayan is looking forward to growing this brand in a diffrentiated manner and continue to do activities that strengthen the brand's alliance for the consumers who opt for this product.
