ClearScore announced the launch of its first TVC campaign

ClearScore, a free credit scoring fintech platform, announced the launch of its first TVC campaign ‘Credit Score Matlab ClearScore’ today. Leveraging the need to access easy and affordable finance, the TVC takes us through situations a millennial loan seeker would face while shopping for credit.

Backed by a strong narrative, the TVC communicates why one should be armed with a good credit score before seeking credit and how it helps take control over ones’ financial needs. 

On the occasion of the TVC launch, Hrushikesh Mehta, Country Manager said: “We believe that credit education and awareness are of utmost value. Being aware of and educated about one’s credit score facilitates easier and cheaper access to finance whenever someone needs it.” 

“The purpose of the television commercial is to educate credit seekers to check their credit score on our fintech platform - for free - and find suitable credit offers quickly and easily,” adds Hrushikesh

The two-part television ad revolves around two different scenarios wherein our protagonists, trying to avail a personal and home loan, evaluate their ‘asli aukat’. The TVC, in a humourous tone, connects ‘asli aukat’ with a high credit score which helps them introspect on their capabilities of getting a loan easily. It also communicates, ClearScore’s objective to provide free credit scores forever without any riders, unlike other platforms. Given the forever free service it implies that if you to need to check your financial health which means checking your credit score then ‘Credit Score Matlab ClearScore’.

Ogilvy India is the creative agency. On the launch of the TVC,  Srreram Athray and Elizabeth Dias Group Creative Directors, Ogilvy, Mumbai said: “When you apply for a loan you always have the jitters - what if they don’t approve it? And you go through self doubt and fear. We took a light-hearted and yet in-your-face way of dramatizing what goes on in the loan seeker’s mind. Thus, underlining the importance of checking credit scores to be able to avail any form of finance.”

ClearScore is a digital platform that offers free credit score, loans and credit cards (in partnership with financial institutions) priced as per the credit score of an individual. Higher the credit score, lower will be the interest rate on the loan. 

The campaign is live on both Digital and traditional media platforms across national and regional channels.
