Clubhouse Reports that a million Android users have signed up already

The audio social platform Clubhouse have gained a lot of engagement by users last year and innovated a whole new sequence for the social media format is now facing significant challenges as alternate audio social tools and options emerge as the company is struggling to keep up and meet the demand of the users.

As Clubhouse launched the android version after a huge gap, it is now facing issues with the same. It also has put a huge restriction on its growth capacity even before one consider its invite-only process.

Clubhouse recently announced that more than a million new Android users have now signed up to the platform.

As Clubhouse reported back in January that two million users were active on the platform, Data from Sensor Tower noted that the app itself has been downloaded more than 15 million times, it is not like everyone who download it can access as it's still in invite-only mode.

"While we’ve quadrupled the size of our team this year, stabilized our infrastructure, launched Payments in beta to help creators monetize, and readied Android for launch, there is so much more to do as we work to bring Clubhouse to more people around the world. It’s no secret that our servers have struggled a bit these past few months, and that our growth has outpaced the early discovery algorithms our small team originally built", noted by Clubhouse in their blogpost.

As Clubhouse is already aware about its challenges and those which are worse in respect of its competitors Twitter which is rapidly expanding its audio Spaces option, while Facebook has also now advanced to live testing of its own audio social tool where users have already started engaging into the audio social groups by being a part of its discussions.

That's the reason that the platform now needs to work quickly, on various fronts, as Clubhouse is also working to roll out payments that will enable all creators to monetize their efforts (both on IOS and Android version), while it's also set to unveil the first recipients of its 'Creator First' funding grants later this week, essentially funding more exclusive Clubhouse content.

With these challenges, Clubhouse now have to move forward and has to evolve its features from time to time to keep its users engagement on.
