DD Purkayastha’s ‘Headline: Memoir of a Media CEO’ published

DD Purkayastha has over forty years of experience in the media industry. He served as the Managing Director & CEO of ABP for 14 years before retiring from an executive role in 2021. He currently holds a position as a Non-Executive Director at ABP.

During his time at ABP, Purkayastha was part of the Executive Committee of the Audit Bureau of Circulation and served as the Deputy President of the Indian Newspaper Society (INS). He was also a board member of the Media Research Users Council (MRUC).

DD Purkayastha is a board member of WAN-IFRA, the largest global media association based in Frankfurt, and serves on its five-member Nominating Committee. He also spent eight years as a board member of the International Media Association (INMA) in Dallas.

DD Purkayastha's professional expertise lies at the crossroads of media, finance, and information technology. He is a qualified cost and management accountant with a background in IT.
