Gaurav Jeet Singh moves on from HUL

Gaurav Jeet Singh, General Manager Media- South Asia, Unilever has stepped down from his role after being associated with the brand for 13 years. He had joined Unilever in 2008 as Regional Sales And Customer Manager and last served as General Manager Media - South Asia in 2021.

According to the sources, Singh will be moving to a global digital platform. 

During his stint at Unilever, Singh was responsible for driving media attributable business growth across all brands & categories in South Asia. The remit included digital and traditional media to drive business across DTC, Ecommerce and Offline platforms (Online and Offline media driven sales) through performance marketing and reach based media deployment depending on the brand's business objectives.

The brand turned profitable on his watch during the position of Marketing manager and delivered one of the most successful innovations (Pureit Ultima) in terms of innovation turnover for HUL a record that stood for the next 5 years. Singh also turned around the on-line reputation of the brand by setting up a robust inetrface between the sales and service teams.

Before HUL, Singh was associated with L’Oréal India as Sales officer and drove sales of brands like Ultra Doux, Synergie, Excellence and Casting by managing a very nascent distribution system and driving distribution into new cities where L’Oréal was not present. 

He is an experienced consumer marketing business leader with a strong entrepreneurial background, 24+ years of experience in building brands and businesses 13+ of those at Unilever and have also led large teams across various roles at Unilever and have experience in setting up and scaling businesses and teams from scratch. 

Singh has also played a key role in shaping the digital ecosystem in India as part of the Technical Committee of BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council).
