IPL in talks with USA Cricket for tie-up

Indian Premiere League (IPL) is looking out for a strategic partnership with USA Cricket to take IPL teams and matches to the US.

To do so, recently, the IPL governing council members did a meeting with the USA Cricket Association board members at Dubai.

As per media reports, Lalit Modi, commissioner and chairman, IPL on the plans to do a strategic partnership with USA Cricket said, "The North American continent has emerged as the second largest market in terms of revenue and viewership for Indian cricket. Our meeting with the team from USA Cricket was very encouraging and we are confident of taking the IPL to the USA in the near future. With the presence of a strong and growing South Asian diaspora, cricket will soon become a popular sport in the USA."
