Just Arrived | Sujoy Ghosh to join Hindustan Times & The Hindu in an advisory role

It may be recalled  that Sujoy Ghosh, Director - Response, Bennett Coleman and Co. Limited (BCCL), which runs The Times of India Group of publications, had put in his papers at the company about a month and a half back to reportedly to exploit his entrepreneurial skills....

It is now believed that he will be taking up  a Senior Advisory Role on Adsales Strategy with Hindustan Times as well as with the Hindu Group from December onwards. Sources close to him have confirmed this latest development to Adgully. It's said  that while taking up the responsibility as an Advisor, his new role, he still intends to actively pursue his  entrepreneurial skills in the exciting world of new media.

In his role as Director, Ghosh headed the West region for The Times of India's Response  team for the majority of his tenure with the TOI Group. He was a key member of the core team commandeered by Dr Bhaskar Das, president and was actively involved in the battle for supremacy of the Mumbai market for the last 7 odd years. The West market contributed upwards of 40% to the Times Group revenues with Sujoy Ghosh at the helm. In addition to that, Sujoy was integral in the elevation of the International Advertising Festival at Cannes, becoming an event and award fixture in the India Media scene .Ghosh joined BCCL in 1990, left after a stint of two years, and rejoined them again in 1993-’94. He has remained with the company since, cumulatively spending around two decades there.
