Reviewing the history of India since Independence, Mr Jaswant Singh, Hon'ble Member of Parliament, said, "It has been a remarkable journey for India since Independence to 2010. Consolidating 526 states was a complex task when all the systems needed to be unified. The period 1937-1962 was a trouble period for our country. Year 1962 was the dividing line while there were disputes with People's Republic. Year 1965 started well, but then Pandit Nehru left us. 1967-1975 was a phase of socialistic populism and then 80s was the most destructive decade. In 90s, India swung back. All these years, the problems that we faced
importantly it should be inclusive."
