Prasar Bharti invites applications for allotment of vacant MPEG-2 slots on DD Free Dish

Prasar Bharti has invited stakeholders to submit applications for vacant MPEG-2 slots on DD Free Dish DTH platform. The allotment will be done on a pro rata basis between the period of August 6, 2020 and March 31, 2021 via an online e-auction process.

Only satellite channels licensed by Ministry of I&B for downlinking in India would be allotted the vacant MPEG slots. The government has categorized TV channels in different buckets in accordance with genres and languages for the auction.
