The Family Man’s next season to go on floor soon

Amid suspense over the release date of Season 3 of ‘The Family Man’, the makers are all set to begin shooting for their next part soon. Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.’s action-thriller featuring Manoj Bajpayee instantly clicked with the audience in its debut season five years ago. There have been many speculations about the third part, now after nearly three years the makers are all set to begin shooting.

After two parts, Raj and DK had given a hint of season three and announced it recently at an event hosted by Amazon Prime. However, they chose not to reveal the release date or the premise of the show. As per the buzz the creators of the show are planning to shoot a next part in North-East India and will highlight the geo-political issues based on that region.

In the previous two parts, too, they highlighted the issues in Kashmir in part one and then in the second part the focus of the story was on problems between Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka. At the end of the second season, it was shown that Srikant’s next mission is likely to take him to the North-East part of India, but during the official announcement, the director duo chose not to reveal much about the plot. In their previous interactions with the media, they had mentioned that they like to explore different regions of the country and narrate stories of the tensions in these areas. There are rumours that the creative team of the show might also show the era of pandemic and China’s connection to it, but there has not been any confirmation on this from Raj and DK.

In one of his recent interactions with the media, Manoj, too, revealed that season three is going to be bigger than the first two seasons. It took them more than two years to bring the second part, so the third season too will take some time to release.

Another report suggests that Darshan Kumar, who played the role of Major Sameer in the series, is likely to return in the third part and the show might release later this year.

‘The Family Man’ tells the story of Srikant Tiwari played by Manoj, who works as an intelligence officer, but his family is unaware of it. The show is written by Suman Kumar, along with Raj and DK. It is produced by Raj and DK’s banner and has Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, Sharib Hashmi and others playing important roles. The second part marked Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s debut in the Hindi series.
