TV Today Network to shut down Delhi Aaj Tak by June 30

In a letter to Distribution Platform Operators (DPOs), TV Today Network, the holding company of English nesws channel, India Today and Hindi news channel, Aaj Tak announced that it will cease operations and transmission of its Hindi news channel 'Delhi Aaj Tak' by 30 June. Delhi Aaj Tak was a 24 hours news channel launched in 2007 that focused exclusively on Delhi news and coverage.

With local editions of newspapers closing their shutters due to the impact of Covid-19, we now see dip in ad revenues affecting TV channels. The letter to distributors was addressed by vice president - distribution, K R Arora.
