Viacom18’s Rajesh Iyer steps down

Rajesh Iyer has resigned from his position as Business Head - Regional Entertainment at Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd as per as per sources closed to Adgully. Iyer, who took on the role in October 2020 overseeing Colors Tamil, Odia, Gujarati, and Bangla, joined Network18 in March 2019. During his tenure, he collaborated closely with the leadership team, driving various new initiatives. Prior to his stint at Viacom18, Iyer served as the Chief Operating Officer at YuppTV Inc for over a year and held the position of Business Head at &TV, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL), for three years.

Notably, as a part of ZEEL's broadcast leadership team, he played a pivotal role in the successful launch of the network's second General Entertainment Channel (GEC) &TV in 2015.

Before joining ZEEL, Iyer served as Vice President and Head of Marketing at Colors from 2008 to 2014. His professional journey also includes stints at Star and Ambience Publicis/Ogilvy & Mather.
