WATBlog announces WATAwards 2012
50% will be evaluated by Jury members whereas the remaining 50% will be evaluated by the Public. This is for the first time any digital awards will be involving the general Public to vote for a nomination. The public voting will happen via social media viz. Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
The jury for the awards are Alok Mittal, Managing Director ' Canaan India; Sudha Natrajan. Dy. CEO ' Lintas Media Group; Srikant Shastri, Chairperson ' Vivaki, India; V. Ramani, Co-founder & Vice Chairman ' Ignitee; Mahendra Swarup, Chairman ' SMILE Interactive Technology Group; and Madan Sanglikar, Principal Partner-Invention ' Mindshare.
"WAT Awards 2012 this year has been organized by WATBlog on a much larger scale and it is the only Awards organized for the industry by an industry player. Therefore, the challenge of unbiased decisions has been met quite successfully given the response we have received" said Rajiv Dingra, Chief Blogger & Founder WATBlog.
The categories in which one can participate are under four heads viz. web, advertising, technology, entrepreneurial and special. Within these Portal of the Year includes travel, e-commerce, classified, Indian social media networking and blog amongst others. Under the advertising category the best social media, digital media and mobile campaign will be awarded. Under the technology category applications for digital, social and mobile will be awarded along with an award for innovative product start-up. The Entrepreneurial award will have nominations for mobile, digital and social media ventures with a "Young Entrepreneur of The Year' in view of encouraging new talent. Special awards category has been introduced for appreciating and patting the back of arduously working Agencies in Mobile advertising, digital and social media services.
Any work launched or current during the period from Jan 2011 to October 2011 is eligible to enter the Awards.Entry deadline: Saturday, 10th December, 2011 before 5pm
