Aamir Khan’s Son, Junaid all set to debut with YRF-Netflix ‘Maharaj’

The long wait is over as Aamir Khan’s elder son, Junaid Khan will be seen with Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari & Shalini Pandey in a YRF-Netflix movie - Maharaj. The film has been directed by Siddharth P Malhotra, whose last film Hichki with Rani Mukerjee was a hit at the box office. Junaid was supposed to debut in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. Apparently Director, Advait Chandan and Aamir Khan, both had selected him but that didn't materialise due to some reasons.

Maharaj is inspired by true events around ‘David vs Goliath’ story set in the 1800s. It is about how a regular man, journalist by profession, takes on a powerful role for the society and is hailed by many as a messiah for the masses. ‘The fearless reporter uncovers a series of incidents that shake the very foundation of society', a presser from Netflix reads.

The speculation is also high on the female lead against Junaid. Popular Telugu actress Sai Pallavi has been approached for Maharaj, but no official confirmation has come from her. If she takes this film it will be her debut in Hindi films as well.

The audiences are all awaiting to see how Junaid’s debut shapes up with Maharaj. Will he exceed his father’s perfection in acting and popularity? Only time will tell.
