Aamir Khan sings after 18 years with a swag!

The most eagerly anticipated Bollywood release of 2016 – ‘Dangal’, has already created quite a stir with its arresting promos and hard-hitting message of ‘More Power to Women’. The film’s music score composed by Pritam Chakraborty is catching on and turning out to be quite a rage. The recently launched song ‘Dhaakad’, sung by Raftaar is fast emerging as every Indian woman’s anthem for empowerment. Eighteen years after his last tryst with singing that gave audiences the top-rated chartbuster – ‘Aati Kya Khandala’, the multi-talented Aamir Khan is said to have recorded ‘Dhaakad’ in his own voice and shot a special video that will be exclusively showcased for the very first time at the Lux Golden Rose Awards to be telecast on 18th December at 6 PM on ZEE TV.

After ‘Haanikarak Bapu’, ‘Dhaakad’ is the second song to have been released from Dangal so far. Sung by the talented Raftaar, the song brings alive Geeta & Babita Phogat's initiation into wrestling and their Dhaakad attitude!  The new version of the video song which features Aamir Khan as Mahavir Singh Phogat will depict his journey as a wrestler and a mentor to his proteges - his two spirited daughters. At the glitzy awards soiree, Aamir's cover of 'Dhaakad' will be unveiled for the very first time by Arjun Kapoor who will be hosting the awards alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar. 

The special Dhaakad song talks about women empowerment and the upcoming LUX Golden Rose Awards is  the  best  platform to launch a song which is dedicated to the daughters of India. When the Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan, heard of the Awards acknowledging extraordinary women for their efforts, he too wanted to do something special for them. So, the actor went ahead and made his version of Dhaakad to applaud women power and also introduce his on-screen daughters Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. Dressed like a rapper, the actor has a groovy swag in the video.
