The protagonist of the show Abby O'Brien Winters decides to return to her hometown Chesapeake Shores when she receives a panicked phone call from her younger sister who runs their father’s inn. The place holds many sad memories for Abby who until now, had no time to spare on her traumas and healing. Helping her sister in saving the inn from foreclosure would mean not only dealing with her past and broken family but also coming face to face with Trace Riley, the man she left ten years ago. The story takes a twist when Trace becomes an unexpected ally and a second chance for Abby at finding love.
