Ad Space in print grew by 41% during Aug’21 over Aug’20: TAM AdEx

Ad Space in print per publication grew by 41% during August’21, compared to August’20, according to TAM AdEx’s report on Print Advertising in August 2021. Comparing five weeks of August, Ad Space in all five weeks of August’21 saw increase over same weeks of August’20. Week 3 of August’21 saw the highest growth of 60%, compared to same week of August’20, while Week 4 of August’21 saw the lowest increase of 28%.

Comparing August’21 to August’20, the total tally of categories, advertisers and brands increased by 2%, 12% and 13%, respectively. Multiple Courses was the top category with 10% share, followed by Two-Wheelers in Aug’21. The Top 10 categories had 42% share of the Ad Space in Aug’21.

SBS Biotech was the top advertiser during both Aug’21 and Aug’20 in Print. Fitjee had highest positive rank shift to enter the Top 10 list during Aug’21 over Aug’20. The Top 10 advertisers added 15% share of Ad Space in Print during Aug’21.

Hero Two Wheelers was the top brand in Print during Aug’21, followed by Aakash Byjus. Four of the Top 10 brands – Aakash Byjus (rank 2), Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid (rank 5), Samsung Galaxy Z Series (rank 6) and Winzo Games (rank 10) – were exclusive to August’21, compared to August’20. Highest up shift in rankings was seen for Fitjee during August’21, compared to August’20. The Top 10 brands grabbed 8% share of the Print Ad Space in Aug’21.

Over 60 new categories, 20.8K+ new advertisers and 25.2K+ new brands were seen in Aug’21 over Aug’20. Events-Fashion/ Lifestyle was the top new category, followed by Multiplexes in August’21 over August’20. Apple Computer India was the top new advertiser in Aug’21 over Aug’20, followed by Tictok Skill Games. Aakash Byjus topped among the new brands, followed by Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid in August’21, compared to August’20.
