Adgully Exclusive | Expectations from Ad:tech New Delhi: DGM's Paul Beckley

Not many would have believed, a few years ago, that the world would be taking digital marketing as seriously as it does today. The advent of the revolution of digital marketing has brought many changes in thought processes and implementation of marketing as we know it today. With Ad:tech New Delhi, the much anticipated convention in the realm of digital marketing, only about a month away, Adgully talks to Paul Beckley, Vice President - Technology Sector ' Asia, DMG:: events on his expectations from the country's first interactive digital marketing exhibition and conference.

"I think Ad:tech New Delhi will be a great launch, the market seems very ready for such an event as Ad:tech. Our prime goal is to bring the four pillars of our industry together i.e. brands, agencies, publishers and technology or solutions providers to allow them to meet, learn generate new ideas and ultimately do business together," Beckley stated.

Internationally the current trends that have been noticed are Social and Mobile. Beckley further said that in many ways they are linked together. "With the recent and developing changes in India with Mobile infrastructure and the increase in Smartphone's, advertisers have more opportunities to connect one on one with their customers. Social will be bigger than it currently is with all the major players investing in India," Beckley predicted.

As the country grows at an extremely fast pace in all spheres, along with increased awareness about the digital medium, opportunities in the Indian market space are on the rise. "There are so many opportunities in India. The interesting aspect in India is that all media platforms are still growing. So digital is growing with the market where as, in virtually every other country, digital is taking over existing platforms as "ad dollars" generally are not increasing like India," Beckley further added.

Ad:tech New Delhi will be held on April 27 and 28 2011 and is a convention of brands and agencies, publishers and service providers all coming together to network, learn and trade. | By Janees Antoo [janees(at)adgully.com]
