Air India unveils dynamic brand transformation

Air India on Thursday unveiled its fresh logo and updated brand image, N Chandrasekaran, the Chairman of Tata Sons and Air India, shared the future vision and progress that Air India is achieving.

According to N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons and Air India, this isn't just any regular business for us. It's not just about making money, it's like a big, important mission for our country. He said this as they introduced the brand-new logo.

The new brand look and the design of the planes show the true spirit of a modern India, which is a big step in the transformation of Air India into something that inspires the whole country. Chandrasekaran continued by saying that their plans for the airline are connected to a new and strong India, where everyone has big dreams.

The updated appearance takes the familiar shape of an Indian window, which Air India has used for a long time, and turns it into a golden frame that's at the center of the new design. This golden frame stands for a 'Window of Possibilities'. The new symbol, called 'The Vista', is inspired by the peak of the golden window frame. It means there are so many amazing things that can happen, and the airline is confident about its future.

The airline's new planes will have colours like deep red, aubergine, and gold highlights. They'll also have a pattern that looks like the chakra, which is a symbol from Indian traditions. And they're even using a brand-new special font called 'Air India Sans' that makes the airline look really good, welcoming, and special.

CEO and Managing Director of Air India, Campbell Wilson, said that the new look shows they want to be a really great airline for people from all over the world. They want to show the world a new India that's proud and strong. The new Air India is full of confidence and energy, but it also keeps the warmth and history that make Indian hospitality so great.

They worked together with a company called FutureBrand to create this new look. It's a mix of Air India's wonderful past and their goal to be the best and most innovative in the future. They made a super cool design for a really good airline that's known all around the world.

Starting December 2023, when Air India gets its first new Airbus A350 plane, travelers will see this new logo everywhere on their journey.
Campbell Wilson also talked about how actions are really important, even more than colors and shapes. He said that they are changing Air India completely to make it even better than before.

Chandrasekaran mentioned that they've been working on this for about 15 months. They want Air India to be very modern, safe, with the best technology, amazing service, and a great experience for everyone, just like it used to be known for.

Air India has been improving the whole experience for passengers and spending a lot to make their service the best for people traveling to, from, and within India.

Chandrasekaran also said that they are going to use the best technology in Air India. It's going to be a lot of hard work, but they know where they want to go.

The brand has decided to buy 470 new planes from Airbus and Boeing for a big amount of money. The new planes will start coming in November this year. But this is a big task because they have to do a lot of things like technology, maintenance, and more to make it all work.

Chandrasekaran also mentioned that the planes they've ordered are a lot, both small and big, but it's going to take time for all of them to arrive.
