Alizeh all set to prove her Mettle with 'Farrey

Bollywood is all set to welcome another star-kid- Alizeh, the daughter of Alvira and Atul Agnihotri and niece of Salman Khan. Alizeh will debut in Farrey, a film, directed by Soumendra Padhi of Jamtara fame.

Sharing her acting aspirations Alizeh says: “It was not a smooth transition for me when I decided to become an actor. Although, I always felt happy being creative, it was as if my brain starts working more , when I act but I just didn’t want to jump into it. I wanted to work initially to understand the craft better. Moreover, when you belong to a filmy family you have to be the best, otherwise the audience will tell you to get lost.”
Alizeh shares how she grew up on the sets and decided to spend a lot of time with actors and creative groups. She was associated with Nadira Babbar’s ‘Ekjute Theatre Group’ for a long time. She says: “I wanted to be with those actors who were not from Mumbai and who came here to become actors. You learn a lot of from them.”

Alizeh belongs to the family of writers, directors, producers and actors so whom does she go to for advice. She says: “I listen to all of them and also try to follow anything I like or feel will be best for me. And I make sure that I go back to that person and tell him/her how that advice actually worked for me.”

One advice from uncle Salman Khan, which Alizeh values a lot, is being honest to her work. She says: “One advice which I value is ‘Do your work with honesty and effort. This is your opportunity to prove your talent. Subtlety is the best way to say something in front of the camera.”
Though Alizeh is very close to all her Uncles (Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail) but she confesses that she shares the closest bond with Sohail Khan. “I am closest to Sohail Mamu because he is very good with kids. He makes special plans to spend time with the kids. And we also have a similar sense of humour.”

For obvious reasons, there will be lot of expectations and criticism which Alizeh knows is going to come her way. She says: “I have to take it how it comes. You have to be honest with your work and people notice that in you. I am happy that I am associated with so many newcomers in the film and I just want to make them proud. Without them this film would not have been possible. I know maybe I have some extra pressure for being someone from the filmy family. I would be surprised if that was not the case.”

Farrey is releasing on 24th of November which is the birthday of legendary writer, lyricist Salim Khan - Alizeh’s grandfather. Alizeh shares a very special bond with him. She says: “He has seen the film and shared his feedback with me. In the whole family his tips is something which is the most important to me. And what he told me was very personal and I would not like to share with anyone.”

Alizeh shares Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Highway’ created a deep impact on her. She says: “I remember I was on a flight and in a dilemma about what to do in my life. And I saw Highway, such an interesting film on the commercial canvas. And interestingly in one of my first auditions I was given a scene from Highway. Life comes in a circle. And then ofcourse, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Dil Chahta Hai, Talvar- I like this space where realistic movies meet the commercial platform. And with OTT platforms we can see more such films and roles happening.”
Farrey also stars Sahil Mehta, Zeyn Shaw, Prasanna Bisht, Ronit Bose Roy, and Juhi Babbar Soni in pivotal roles.
