Alok Nanda & Company win big at Graphis for Design & Advertising

Alok Nanda & Co.’s (ANC) excellence in Advertising and Strategic Design was recognized at the annual Graphis Awards 2015.  ANC won a Silver award for Sula Wines, in the Print and Package Design category. In the advertising category, ANC won a Gold for the launch campaign for Lodha Belmondo and a Silver for the launch campaign created for ‘The Park’.

ANC’s mandate was to revitalise Sula’s packaging with the objective of reinforcing Sula’s badge value, given the influx of international players in the Indian wine market. Keeping in mind the brand’s existing identity Xerxes Baria Senior Partner and Creative Director, ANC who has designed all 3 variants of Sula sparkling wine (Sula Brut, Sula Brut Rosé and Sula Seco) and Chief Creative Officer Alok Nanda created packaging that evoked a certain distinction and exclusivity - setting it apart from its contemporaries on the shelf, while simultaneously reinstating its superior positioning in the wine market.

“Not unlike the art of modern wine making, the challenge was to strike a perfect balance - between creating a contemporary wine label that positions Sula alongside international brands and celebrating its iconic Indian character” said Xerxes Baria.

For “The Park”, the campaign brought to life the world-class lifestyle being played out at South Mumbai’s finest urban park, providing its residents a multitude of experiences designed to stimulate, enrich and enlighten. ANC developed a campaign that brought alive different moments and experiences, using a world-class celebrity – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan - as the face of The Park. She was used not just as brand ambassador of The Park, but in her capacity as a resident of The Park.
With “Lodha Belmondo,” a 100-acre sprawling development just off the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, with a riverside golf course designed by Greg Norman, ANC created a powerful positioning: ‘luxury resort living’. The campaign’s powerful communication complemented by striking photography, was designed to play out ‘the resort life’ experience seamlessly.
