Amitava Mitra quits Percept/H as CEO!

Ad-land veteran, Amitava Mitra has decided to call it quits at Percept/H. Having a total industry experience of over three decades, Mitra has spent about 14 years at Percept/H.

Sources close to the development, confirming the news stated, “Mitra will be leaving Percept/H soon and as of now he is serving his notice period”.

Commencing his career with JWT, Delhi in 1982, Mitra was associated with some of the most renowned agencies such as Everest Advertising, Triton Communications,  Lintas, Pratibha Advertising and IB&W Communication before he joined Percept, Pune in the year 2000 to kick-start the operations of the agency in this city.

He shifted to the Percept/H, Delhi branch in 2003 where he was directly involved in growing the operation manifold. He was elevated to the position of Chief Operating Officer – Percept/H in 2013 and was responsible for overseeing the entire operational and strategic business of Percept/H pan-India.

In 2014, Amitava Mitra was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Percept/H, and is responsible for providing strategic direction for the company at a national level, and creating opportunities for integration within and across the Percept Group.

He has been directly involved with the creation & production of over 200 films and has launched over 100 brands with strategies ranging from the complete launch strategy and activities to promotions and events across the media spectrum.

Being the alumni of St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, he has also served as a guest lecturer at some of Pune and Kolkata’s premier management institutes such as SIMC, IIMM and ISB&M.
