Aniruddh Pathak elevated as Content Head, Life OK

While the team at Life OK is still in celebration mode, announcements and news do not seem to take a break. As the channel marked its second anniversary yesterday alongside the launch of soon-to-be-aired fantasy show Hatim's launch on 17th December, news came in that Star India’s second GEC has elevated Aniruddh Pathak in a new role from being a Creative Head to that of the Content Head for the channel.

Adgully spoke to Aniruddh Pathak, Content Head, Life OK to know more about this development.

Speaking about the responsibilities that the new role bring to him, Pathak said, “With the new role, I would be accountable to and focus two key aspects, "One is the need to develop new content and second how to make the content more engaging and contemporary for the audiences which is already running on-air”.

He further added, "We have already formed the foundation and now with the new year, we at Life OK plan to make brand and loyalty for the channel. We want to be different as to be different will make us No.1!”

Sharing about his contribution in the industry and change he has observed being with the channel, he said, "I have observed that in television industry we need to create different themes and character-driven shows. I tried to create male dominant shows like Mahadev and now Hatim which stands out to be different, but at the same time they are family shows also. I tried to create larger than life stories and also worked on character creation that audience can easily recognize, like the aforementioned characters that are known for decades.

Pathak holds a Masters degree in Sanskrit and has been taking active interest in literature and theatre since his early days. He is known for his creativity; he has worked on shows such as Sarkar and Piya Ka Ghar for Zee TV and also written for Balaji Telefilms and Sony TV. Later in 2007, came his big break with Star TV network where 10 shows were launched including the popular ones ‘Bidaai’ and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.’
