Audible, an Amazon company and a leading global provider of spoken-word entertainment launched 3 new titles on the occasion of 75th Independence Day. This includes the second season of its Original podcast titled Yoddha, created and narrated by one of India's most loved storytellers, Neelesh Misra.

Following the tremendous success of Yoddha Season One, this second season featuring 20 episodes takes you on an emotional journey, meeting the “bravehearts” of Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Police Force and other defense institutes who have laid down lives, fought bravely and stood their ground against all odds to defend the honor of our country. These heartwarming and inspirational stories are based on real life defense personnel like Captain Jaydev Dangi, a brave Special Forces commando who refused to be evacuated after being hit by two bullets and killed three terrorists and Colonel Santosh Y Mahadik, the son of a milkman from Maharashtra's Satara district who gave his life to save his jawans in the Kashmir valley during a brutal battle with militants, among others.

Speaking about the launch of Yoddha S2, Shailesh Sawlani, VP and Country GM, Audible India, said, "After the immense success of Yoddha Season 1, bringing season 2 of Yoddha from one of India's most beloved storytellers, Neelesh Misra to Audible has been an honor. With this new season, we celebrate some of India’s finest and bravest soldiers – their stories of valor, courage and patriotism are truly inspirational and deserve to be heard. Happy Independence Day and Jai Hind!"

“As a war and conflict reporter, I have covered the Kargil war, and insurgency theatres in different parts of the country. So it was very familiar territory for me when I was narrating the often-untold stories of courage and valour of Indian security forces, the men and women in uniform. I felt emotional in moments, I felt pride, I felt a shiver through my spine as I narrated the drama. I hope listeners of Yoddha Season 2 feel the same emotions as they listen to the stories of these bravehearts, our heroes forever.” says Neelesh Misra.

The other two titles include audiobook Boots Belts Berets written by Tanushree Podder and narrated by actor Abhishek Banerjee. The audiobook is a tongue-in-cheek saga of youth, camaraderie, and growing-up life at the National Defence Academy, where boys become men of honour. After leading a sheltered life for 16 years, Nikhil, Bertie, Randy and Maachh are thrust into the world of the NDA. Soon they realize that life here is not just about spit and polish but six terms of adventure and achievement. It is about soaring ambition and tough challenges, a punishing regimen and endless Puttie Parades.

Additionally, Gumnaam Shaheed Season 1: Madanlal Dhingra, written by Manish Kumar, Hind Yugm and narrated by Atul Arya is also made available. Season 1 of this audio series brings to life the story of Sunita Dhanraj, who runs an NGO named Shaheed Swabhimaan Manch. With her NGO, Sunita embarks on a journey to honour the Shaheed who laid their lives for the freedom of India and discovers Shaheed Udham Singh, who was hanged in Pentonville jail of London on July 31st 1940 and eventually buried there. In the quest for some unanswered questions, she discovers another Shaheed who was forgotten by India. Who is that Shaheed? and will Sunita be able to know about him?
