AXN celebrates the first ever fan convention for Supernatural

AXN is back with its new popular TV series—Supernatural, Season 8. The highly acclaimed series celebrated a convention for its fans, something that has never been done before in India on 25th October, 2012 at Mocha Mojo in Bandra from 7 pm. The convention also witnessed the media getting a once in a lifetime opportunity to watch the season premiere of Supernatural, Season 8 a day before its official premiere on AXN. This tweet up event had fans tweeting every detail of the convention with a lot of ‘supernatural’ exciting activities planned for the media and the fans present there.

The idea of the convention for Supernatural came through a simple tweet by a fan suggesting for a convention in India and then started a revolution on Twitter. Our proposal for a ‘Supernatural Convention’ met with a roaring response from the fans. Reaching 149k+ accounts, delivering 609K+ responses, adding 12% more fans in a day, receiving tweets from celebs and some international followers as well - @axnindia established quite a resounding impression amongst the SPN fan-base that AXN definitely is the one host they can look upto for all things Supernatural!
Supernatural is a supernatural drama series about two brothers—Sam and Dean Winchester follow their father's footsteps as "hunters" fighting evil supernatural beings of many kinds including monsters, demons, and gods that roam the earth. The season 8 picks up from the events of season 7 finale, where we see Dean escaping the Purgatory and Sam in love.  

The event witnessed a lot of interactive activities and games which saw the fans participate enthusiastically. From getting a Supernatural tattoo done to singing the Supernatural anthem to acting like the characters, the media were seen having a gala time.
