Ban on Pakistani Artists in Bollywood Lifted by Bombay High Court

After seven years of stringent restrictions, the Bombay High Court has finally lifted the ban on Pakistani artists, potentially allowing them to work in Bollywood films once again.

The legal petition that led to this change was initiated by Faaiz Anwar Qureshi, a self-proclaimed cine worker and artist. His petition sought a complete prohibition on any professional association between Indian citizens and companies with artists from Pakistan. This included employment, solicitation of work, or collaboration with Pakistani cine workers, musicians, singers, lyricists, and technicians.

According to the latest report by News 18, the Bombay High Court has dismissed a petition aimed at prohibiting Pakistani artists from participating in the Indian film industry.
