BARC ratings: Zee TV climbs to No. 3; DD National in top 10

BARC ratings for Week 3 (January 16-22) of 2016 saw Colors continue to lead the Hindi GECs with gross viewership of 701,098, which was a fall from 762,023 recorded last week.

Star Plus too saw a fall in its gross viewership in Week 3 to 681,775 from 727,809 last week, even as the channel held on to its No. 2 position.

Meanwhile, Zee TV climbed up a notch to the third slot, witnessing a rise in its gross viewership from 636,989 last week to 647,201 in Week 3.

Zee Anmol slipped to No. 4 from No. 3 in the third week of 2016, garnering a gross viewership of 638,381 down from 682,983 recorded in Week 2.

There was no change in the positions of Star Utsav and Life OK as they remained at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively. However, both the channels witnessed drop in gross viewership. Star Utsav secured gross viewership of 437,498, while Life OK recorded gross viewership of 427,374 in Week 3.

Sony Pal switched places with Rishtey to climb up to the seventh position with an increase in its gross viewership to 394,987 from 339,073 last week, a rise of around 16 per cent.

Rishtey slipped to the eighth slot despite witnessing a rise in its ratings to 393,743 in Week 3 from 365,968 last week.

Sony SAB, which was at No. 10, too climbed up a notch to the ninth slot with gross viewership of 361,055, as against 323,649 recorded last week.

DD National was the new entrant at No. 10 in Week 3, garnering gross viewership of 329,478.

Sony TV, which was placed ninth last week, didn’t make it to the top 10 Hindi GEC channels’ list in Week 3.

Colors’ ‘Naagin’ continues to be the top rated show in the Hindi GEC space, garnering ratings of 17,199 in Week 3, which is a slight dip from 18,125 recorded last week. Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ remained at the No. 2 slot with ratings of 14,244 as against 14,852 last week.

Colors’ ‘Sasural Sasural Simar Ka’, too, stayed at No. 3 with ratings of 13,180.

Star Plus’ ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ maintained its No. 4 position with ratings of 12,329, while ‘Jamai Raja’ on Zee TV left behind ‘Yeh Hain Mohabbatein’ to be placed in the fifth position with ratings of 11,608.
