Believe the hype; studies find India really excited about final season of GoT

On April 14th, the most popular TV series on the planet, considering that more than 30 million viewers watched season 7, Game of Thrones released the first episode for season 8 (also the final season) of the series. After taking a 1-year break between seasons fan excitement for the final season has reached a tipping point spilling over on the Internet.

A study by SEMrush highlighted that fans searched for the announcement of the new season 60630 times within a month after the final episode of the 7th season hit the airwaves. SEMrush estimates over 90k searches in April after the release of the first episode of season 8.

Instagram highlights that India ranks 4th among the top countries that are most excited about GoT this year based on the number of conversations.
