Bumble brings fun back into dating as we enter into 2021

Bumble, the women-first social networking app, has partnered with an array of popular talent across India to encourage Gen Z and millennials to find healthy and equitable connections as Bumble aims to bring fun back into dating in 2021. As India continues to unlock, Bumble also takes over women’s washrooms in restaurants and pubs across the city of Hyderabad, along with their new quirky, relatable, localised out of home (OOH) campaign in the city.

Bumble has partnered with Bollywood actor Radhika Madan, Telugu actors Ritu Varma, Abijeet Duddala, Alekhya Harika, Shreyas Mendiratta among others, who will share their insights, dating tips and tricks to help people in India make the first move and find new romantic connections in 2021.

Speaking on the partnership, actor Radhika Madan commented, ““My experience working with Bumble has been really great. They are the change makers, they have broken a lot of taboos. It's always fun partnering up with them and I'm looking forward to working with them again.”

She further adds, “It's very important to normalize women making the first move. It's a very dated concept that guys should make the first move. A lot of times you find someone cute and you want to talk to them. It's not just about dating them but just wanting to know them or having that curiosity but because of the conditioning and social pressure from your friends you end up not talking to that person which I feel is a lost opportunity. So kudos to Bumble for normalizing this and inspiring a lot of women to make the first move.

Speaking on the partnership, actor Alekhya Harika commented, “I think it's really cool that women get to make the first move on Bumble! It’s high time we women put ourselves out there and Bumble is the best way to go. Partnering with Bumble has been a great experience! They're a fun brand, and they always make quirky, exciting content. Our styles and ideologies go well together and that’s been the icing on the cake!”

Samarpita Samaddar, Bumble India PR Director said, “As we enter a new year, there is a sense of optimism and hope amongst single Indians as they get more intentional about finding love in 2021. We’re thrilled to partner with some of the biggest names in Hyderabad and Bollywood actor Radhika Madan who will share their insights to encourage single Indians to make the first move and find healthy and equitable connections as Bumble aims to bring fun back into dating in 2021.”
