Cartoon Network launches new shows and movies this January

Cartoon Network, kid’s favourite entertainment channel, gears up to bring exciting new series and movies in January to give kids an unbridled dose of fun, adventure and new characters to celebrate 2013!

True to its promise of being a “Fun Thing!”, the channel introduced a new series called Gon on January 05 that will air every Saturday and Sunday at 11am. Adding fizz to the largely popular Cartoon Network Masala Popcorn franchise are two new movie premieres, namely, Keedey - Pakda Pakdi on January 12 at 12pm and My Name Is Raj – Attack of Demons on January 26 at 12pm. Joining this exciting line-up are new episodes of Cartoon Network original shows Adventure Time starting January 21 at 4:30pm and Ben 10: Omniverse starting January 14 at 5pm.

Sharing details on the new content line-up, Krishna Desai, Director, Content, South Asia, Turner International India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Cartoon Network believes in giving kids unlimited entertainment with a motley mix of the best of international and handpicked local animated shows that are centered around humour. The addition of new and exciting features to the line-up is a visual and comical treat for our young viewers. We are sure that our new content portfolio and interesting characters will continue to entertain and offer a great viewing experience to our audience.”

Gon - Starting 5th January, every Sat and Sun at 11 am
This new show is based on a dinosaur-like animal called Gon who is small stature, has a big mouth and a short pointy tail. This bundle of energy, roams through wild forest inviting and chasing all kinds of trouble. Armed with wit and attitude, power and speed, Gon wiggles out of unpredictable face offs with other weird and wonderful creatures, that it challenges – almost all the time! And while Gon is not doing that, it does what we all do best - play, eat, sleep and enjoy life! Watch out for this wild creature’s slap stick moments that come with enough tumbling troubles and tummy tickles.

Bugged: Pakda Pakdi – Premiering 12th January at 12 noon
This new feature in the Cartoon Network Masala Popcorn franchise of movies has a name that says it all! A manic marathon inspired by the age old “catch & cook” game that every kid plays, has Murphy (a bug catcher) endlessly trying to catch and cook anything that crawls and moves in his unique and hilarious Bollywood superstar mannerisms. But there’s one thing that always goes against him – his Luck!! Murphy has caught all the bugs on the planet except one – Puck!! This movie is a laughter riot and the funniest Pakda Pakdi game!

My Name Is Raj: Attack of Demons – Premiering 26th January at 12 noon
This is the third sequel to the Cartoon Network original production My Name is Raj movie series. This movie is an adventure packed story of three friends, Raj, Meera and Bala against their arch-enemy, the dark lord Kaalicharan, who wishes to acquire a divine belt that will help him conquer the world. Watch Raj and Meera fight for their dear lives and escape the deathly traps conspired by Kaalicharan in this exciting new movie.
