Channel V Launches D4-Get Up And Dance

Channel V, after premiering the first ever dance fiction show, has launched an all new dance show titled D4- Get Up and Dance. The dance show comes after the success of its previous hit TV show, Dil Dostii Dance and the new show seeks to add to the excitement with breathtaking performances from the lead pair. Launching on Monday, 22^nd February 2016, the show will air every Monday to Friday at 7pm and will feature a spectacular dancing pair- Newcomer Niyati Fatnani and Reality Star/Actor Utkarsh Gupta.

With the show’s launch on Monday, Channel V decided to bring dancing to the streets with a special on-ground activity not only with the stars of the show but with also featuring cutting-edge technology used with a live augmented reality dance billboard! The billboard was placed at the prime location of Juhu Beach, Mumbai where the public got a chance to ‘Get Up and Dance’ with the two leads of the show. The event kicked off with a surprise Flash Mob performed by the Rotaract Club of HR College Mumbai and also featured the cast of Sadda Haq Season 2 as well- Harshita Gaur, Param Singh and Ashwini Koul.

With the use of the live dance augmented Billboard, Utkarsh Gupta and NiyatiFatnani appeared in a clip on the billboard that gestured the public to take up the dance challenge. Once a user gets on the marker, the music starts and a female dancer appears on the screen alongwith him as he tried to match her dance moves. Following the performance, a slide appeared showcasing D4 and its launch date of 22^nd February at 7PM.

Channel V has been at the forefront of giving dance-loving youth the chance to watch a gamut of spectacular dance acts through an entertaining fiction storyline. D4 -Get up and Dance will be a platform to showcase young budding talent on the small screen and will feature numerous forms of dancing. The show’s premise will be a mélange of drama, romance and impressive dance moves as it trails the life of a young girl named Baby who is a skilled dancer but however keeps her dancing skills a secret as a result of her parent’s disapproval. Baby’s life however is turned upside down when she meets her dance idol Mikhail. Enthralled by his ability, the novice dancer is inspired to leave everything and join Mikhail’s dance troupe instead.

While speaking on the show launch, new kid on the block NiyatiFatnani is ecstatic about joining the show. She commented saying, “It has been a dream come true for me to have my small screen debut on TV with D4. I am very happy to not only be a part of a show that features so many styles of dance but also includes an interesting storyline as well. The character I play, Baby is a young 21 year old who is enthusiastic and full of spunk and crazy about dance. However she is a closet dancer as her parents don’t want her to pursue dance as she has always been great in studies.”

Actor Utkarsh Gupta too is very glad to join Channel V’s newest dance fiction show. He shared saying,“D4 Get Up and Dance is going to be a show like no other with the level of dance styles we have encapsulated into the show along with the its plot. I play the role of Mikhail who is a trained dancer and also founder of a dance troupe. Baby stumbles into meeting Mikhail who can’t help but notice Baby’s dancing skills and her potential.”

Apart from D4, Channel V’s teen crime show ‘Gumrah’: End of Innocence(Sunday 7pm),SaddaHaq – Season 2 (Mon-Sat 6:30pm), and action-packed romantic drama showcasing two lifetimes Mastaangi (Mon–Sat 6:00 pm)continue to be on air.
