Colors still No.1 in week 46; it's sunny for Sony

Colors stands secure at the No.1 spot in the Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs) category even in the 46th week. And one of its series, Uttaran, has recorded its highest ever TVR of 9.6, becoming the most watched programme on Hindi GECs. The channel's Na Aana Is Des Laado is No. 2 with 6.5 TVR, followed by Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (STAR Plus) and Balika Vadhu (Colors), which have 6 TVR each. Zee's Chhoti Bahu takes the No. 5 position with TVR of 5.7.

Colors has cornered a 24.5 % share of the GEC market and has accumulated 347 GRPs. It has sprinted far ahead of the No.2 channel, STAR Plus, which has 90 GRPs and an 18 % share of the GEC space in the latest week. At No. 3, Zee trails STAR Plus by only 7 GRPs.
