Could Conjoined Twins Share a mind and emotions?

HISTORY TV18 brings to viewers the astounding story of two little girls who are destined to spend the rest of their lives with each other. Meet Krista and Tatiana Hogan, the only surviving Siamese twins in Canada. Joined at the head and sharing a brain, these happy 5 year olds run, play and go down their backyard slide together, braving all odds to live a normal life.

The Hogans live in Canada and are unlike any other twins. Craniopagus twins are very rare. Born after every 2.5 million children or so, such twins seldom survive in the initial year. The Hogan twins are even more unique as they share a key blood vessel in the brain and most unexpectedly, even some brain functions. This has given them a few extraordinary abilities. Doctors report that when one of the girls is tickled, the other jumps, and that putting a pacifier in the mouth of one child causes the other to stop crying.

But do the twins share the same thoughts? Are they two distinct personalities? Where does the consciousness rest? How connected are Krista and Tatiana? How will their life progress when they grow older? Experience an emotional journey of love, affection and compassion, as the twin enters into the most important year of their life.

Catch the story of the Hogans this Saturday, April 28th 2012 at 9 pm only on HISTORY TV18
