Disney+ garners 10 million subscribers within days of launch

Launched on November 12, 2019, Disney+, the ad-free video streaming service from The Walt Disney Company, has announced that the platform has onboarded 10 million subscribers combined in the US and the Netherlands. 

Subscribers have to pay $6.99 a month to access Disney+’s vast library of live action and animated feature films, TV shows and short form content across their properties such as Marvel Studios, Lucas Films, Pixar, National Geographic, and more. Their original content line-up includes the new show, ‘The Mandalorian’, a spin-off of the Star Wars universe. 

Meanwhile, various media reports have stated that Disney+ is expected to launch in India via Hotstar post IPL 2020.
