Education New Zealand announces multi-city road shows in India

India is New Zealand’s fastest growing student market and the country’s international education promotion agency, Education New Zealand is continuing its work to attract Indian students with more than ten New Zealand education events in the country in the month of April. These events will be hosted across multiple markets including New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kochi and Hyderabad.

More than 25 New Zealand institutions including prominent New Zealand universities and vocational institutions will be attending the events which aim to provide Indian students, parents and trade partners a unique opportunity to experience New Zealand’s world-class education options in their own city.

Speaking about the upcoming events, Education New Zealand’s Regional Director - South Asia, Ziena Jalil said, “The education events are really about us bringing a slice of New Zealand to India and informing students, parents and our trade partners about the unique strengths of the New Zealand education system, and the safe, welcoming and unique Kiwi lifestyle. London’s prestigious Legatum Institute has rated New Zealand’s education system first in the world. And just this week New Zealand was ranked first in the world on the Social Progress Index (SPI), which rates 132 countries on more than 50 indicators including health, sanitation, shelter, personal safety, access to information, sustainability, tolerance and inclusion and access to education.”

The Social Progress Index looks at whether a country can satisfy its people's basic needs and whether it has the infrastructure and capacity to allow its citizens to improve the quality of their lives and reach their full potential.

Leading institutions offering a range of courses including engineering, business, hospitality, IT and aviation will be participating in the upcoming events. New Zealand Specialist Agents (NZSA) will be present at the events to assist students and parents with enquires and application processes.
