FCB Ulka creates a mega campaign for SnapDeal's Diwali Bumper Sale

India is all set to celebrate the biggest, most glamorous festival of the calendar year- Diwali. There’s joy in the air. The sentiments are positive. This translates into greater propensity to spend, be it on apparel, accessories or home products.

In a deft strategic move, Snapdeal.com roped in leading TV actors from top GEC channels to roll out a mega Diwali campaign. The 40 commercial campaign (yes 40!) called the ‘Diwali Bumper Sale’ stars the current brand ambassador PulkitSamrat of Fukrey fame and 20 well known TV celebrities such as Ali Asgar, Sumona, Kiku from Comedy Nights Fame, Alok Nath, HarshaBhogle,  etc. who reprise their TV avataars, albeit with a quirky twist.

Commenting on the TVC,Sachin Das Burma, Group Creative Director-FCB Ulka, said, “The challenge this time was to break the clutter of the festival rush on television where all brands will be fighting for the mind space of the consumer. We were very sure of our product deliveries in terms of genuine products, great deals, and our range, so it was essential to do something quirky and simple to drive home the point. We had all the popular faces of the small screen to endorse our brand, and it was imperative to use them keeping their characters in mind and that too in an entertaining manner. Kudos to the team led by AnuragBhalla who did a fantastic job by turning around 40 scripts and executing them."

The campaign focuses on the key offers from Snapdeal on more than 5 lakh products across different product categories, establishing Snapdeal as the one stop shop for all the shopping needs of the consumers.
