Fever 104 FM's Fever Prastuti Gandhi bags a Bronze at the New York Festival 2012

Fever 104 FM, the station which has been redefining radio listening since inception has done it yet again. The radio channel’s innovative on-air initiative ‘Fever Prastuti Gandhi’ has been recognized and felicitated with a Bronze for ‘Best Sound’ at the New York Festival. Fever 104 FM is also the only Indian radio channel to have won an award in this category. Over the past 55 years the New York Festivals, Radio Program and Promotion Awards has been recognizing the World's Best Radio Programs.
 
The mega production revisited the life of the great Mahatma Gandhi for the youth of today. Portrayed in today’s context, Gandhi was aimed to make the youth understand that there is an alternate way of thinking for everyday situation they come across. With celebrated artists such as Farooq Sheikh, Rajit Kapoor, Heeba Shah and Sachin Khedekar, Fever Gandhi proved to be one of the most ambitious and out of the box radio projects of all time.
 
Each year the contest receives entries from radio stations across the world, which is then judged by The Grand Jury comprising of top level industry professionals from 5 continents and over 25 countries. Entries are judged based on their production values, organization, and presentation of information, creativity, and use of the medium. The competition seeks to honour the most innovative work in radio broadcasting. The New York festival over the years adapts to the changing trends in the radio industry and worldwide programming by continually adjusting its categories according to what is prevalent.
