FGII adopts an innovative approach to drive literacy amongst underprivileged children

Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited (FGII) has teamed up with ‘Room to Read’ an NGO that helps underprivileged children to improve literacy and inculcate the habit of reading. Through this partnership, the company plans to set up libraries and donate books to underprivileged children from the society.

As a part of its responsibility towards community development, FGII will use its uniquely designed annual report to raise funds for the NGO backed schools. One can contribute to this cause by ordering this book on Amazon.in and Flipkart.com. The amount contributed by an individual shall be directly contributed to the NGO partner. In addition, Future Generali India Insurance vows to match the amount ‘Rupee for a Rupee’ thus doubling the impact of the initiative.

Ruchika Varma, CMO, Future Generali India Insurance said, “Future Generali is a brand that stands for expertise, innovation & human touch. This philosophy is carried forward to every single touchpoint, including a simple, standard document like our Annual Report. We wanted to create a report that is visually appealing, easy to understand; and also adds value to one’s life. We used a comic book illustration style to depict stories of how our employees have lived up to our commitments to customers. In order to break the clutter of complexity associated with the subject of insurance, we also added a guide in the form of a booklet that will provide tips on the things to keep in mind whilst buying an insurance policy. But what really makes this book special is the cause that it stands for. Through this initiative and collaboration with our NGO partner, ‘Room to Read’, we want to create a sustainable impact on community & add value to the lives of these children.”
