Formula1 announces renewal of ServusTV broadcast partnership

Formula 1 has today announced a multi-year extension of its successful broadcast partnership with ServusTV that will see the Austrian broadcaster continue to show F1 live and free to view in the country until 2026.

ServusTV will hold the rights across all of their distribution channels. The new three-year extension will see the Salzburg-based broadcast partner continue to bring fans in the country all the excitement and drama that Formula 1 has to offer with its highly produced and engaging content offering.

Ian Holmes, Director of Media Rights and Content Creation, Formula 1, said:
“We’re pleased to be extending our partnership with ServusTV and that our fans in Austria will continue to feel the emotion that is Formula 1. It’s a great time to follow the sport, and the season so far has been incredible to watch. The action on track has been intense, and we’re happy that our fans will be able to follow it all as F1 continues into this exciting new era.”

Ferdinand Wegscheider, CEO of ServusTV, said:
“It is totally in terms of Dietrich Mateschitz that we have been able to convince the management of Formula 1 with our high-quality broadcast and performance, and that we are going to continue our successful partnership for another three years. Motorsport has always been his passion. The big winners are primarily the Formula 1 fans, who will be able to watch their favourite sport for free on ServusTV as well as on ServusTV On, also in the future. At the moment there is no broader and more significant motorsport program available for free across Europe.
