Fur, Fins & Feathers, magazine for animal lovers launched

"Fur, Fins and Feathers' it is the first of its kind Indian magazine for animal lovers. The magazine is the brain child of Shivani Darshan, a former media sales professional and self confessed animal lover. It is published by Boutique Publishing, a Bangalore based publishing house.

The magazine answers all the pets and animals related questions. It covers a wide gamut of topics concerning the animal world from information on various breeds of - dogs, cats, horses, fish and birds to fun and informative cover stories about celebrities and their pets.

Moreover, the magazine also talks about food, care and hygiene tips; news on wildlife and exciting wildlife travel hotspots. Along with a presentation of glossy photographs, fuss free style of writing, there is also dedicated space to animal welfare organizations like CUPA, PfA, PETA, etc.

"This magazine is for any animal lover, and not necessarily a pet owner. I wanted the magazine to be India's first magazine for animal lovers, which is available on stands," said Shivani.

Shivani added, "The Media has the power to push and drive a cause, and it's this belief that led me to come out with this magazine, "furs, fins and feathers', which provides all the information for pet owners and animal lovers. During the ideation stage, the magazine was solely dedicated to my pet German Shepherd "Buddy'. But as I started doing my research I discovered that so many of our like-minded animal lover friends do not have a one stop information gathering avenue especially for animals."

The magazine is currently available in all leading book stores across India. It is published monthly at a price of Rs 50.
