FX launches America's scariest fun reality show 'Scare Tactics'

FX, India’s English entertainment channel is known for regaling its viewers with top-notch content and myriad genres leaving audiences spoilt for choice. From sci-fi shows to critically acclaimed dramas, comical shows, thrillers as well as horror, FX showcases the best of English entertainment. Taking their programming ante higher, the channel premiered the comedy television series Scare Tactics on January 1^st to bring in the New Year.

Scare Tactics is a hidden camera, comedy television series that pranks victims by putting them into terrifying situations involving movie-style special effects and makeup that recreates horror movie clichés. The victims, generally four per episode are set up by friends and/or family in tandem with the show producers. The producers then set up elaborate scenarios involving monsters, psychic powers, mysterious experimental drugs, and other quasi-supernatural themes, all in the name of tricking and terrifying the unsuspecting victim.

In the end, the victims are scared out of their wits and the prank is revealed by the host who asks the victims, “Are you scared?” and when the victim responds in affirmative, the host is quick to reply, “You shouldn’t be! You’re on Scare Tactics!”

The show that is super-fun and equally or even more thrilling will go on-air every day from Monday to Friday at 8 PM to leave audiences enthralled and rollicking.

The host for season 1 is Shannen Doherty most popular for her role on hit TV series Charmed and 1990’s sensational Beverly Hills.
