FX premieres the Netflix blockbuster crime comedy series 'Lilyhammer'

Starring celebrity actor and musician, Steven Van Zandt, in the lead role, the show revolves around Frank ‘The Fixer’ Tagliano, a New York mobster (played by Van Zandt) who moves to Lillehammer, Norway as part of the Witness Protection Program after testifying against his former associates. However, the transition from being a feared and respected gangster in New York, to becoming an unemployed immigrant in Norway, is not simple and Frank soon discovers that in order to succeed in this rural Norwegian society, he must resort to his old ways. The said Mafioso, Frank ‘The Fixer’ Tagliano, breaks his blood oath in order to wreak revenge on the don for trying to have him killed, but especially for killing his beloved dog Lily (the show’s title, a corruption of the spelling of Lillehammer, pays homage to Lily the dog, and also pokes fun at the way in which Anglophones like Frank continually mispronounce the town’s name).

Steven Van Zandt is best known to be the founding member, guitarist and backup vocalist for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band and together they produced many bestsellers. He forayed into acting with the hit TV series ‘The Sopranos’ where his character Silvio Dante was so well-received that the producers thought of create a spin-off series based on Silvio’s life. With Lilyhammer, the actor rocked the role of Frank ‘The Fixer’ Tagliano and his acting was acclaimed by both, viewers and critics alike. Steven has been involved in almost every leg of production – starring, co-production, scripting and music composition.
